This suite of courses is for staff who are required to
work as investigators, or evidence gatherers, in the
technical field and not necessarily conduct
internet based investigations.

Security Fundamentals in cyber ops
The digital trail that individuals and organisations broadcast and leave traces of on a day to day basis is growing in size and complexity. This course will explore techniques to obfuscate your own digital identity and footprint and conversely be able to look for the clues left behind by
others. The training is classroom based but very much hands on. Students will be conversant in the use of public key encryption, virtual computers and secure smart phone builds to ensure they are not traceable by an adversary.
Intermediate Digital Recon and Footprint Analysis
As a digital media investigator, you know that the training provided is very basic and doesn’t cover large areas of media situations you’re probably finding yourself encountering. Our Digital Media investigation lead has suffered years of similar frustrations and let down. Sorinteq are proud to offer our range of Digital Media investigator courses which will support your existing training pathway and equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the role of digital media investigator with lessons, overviews and case studies on all the latest digital evolutions. Our intermediate course is for staff who are have been trained and deployed in the role and feel they need an enhancement to their knowledge to support their professional offering in the Digital Media Investigation field.

Advanced Digital Recon and Footprint Analysis

Fundamentals in Digital Forensics
Digital forensics is far more than operating forensic software. Effective forensic examination requires a strong understanding of evidential recovery, investigative strategy, exhibit handling, legal compliance, court presentation, and the role digital evidence plays in both intelligence development and criminal investigations. This course sits above and beyond the use of commercial forensic tools by focusing on the principles, methodology, and professional standards that underpin defensible digital forensic work. Learners will develop the capability to recover, preserve, analyse, interpret, and present digital evidence to the standard required for intelligence development, prosecution, court presentation, and organisational investigations.

Intermediate Digital Forensics
Modern investigations increasingly require digital forensic examiners to operate in live environments, where critical evidential opportunities exist before a device can be seized, powered down, or removed for traditional laboratory examination. The Intermediate Digital Forensics Course builds on the foundations of forensic examination and focuses on the recovery, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence from live systems and active operational environments. Participants will develop the capability to recover volatile data, support operational decision-making, preserve evidential integrity, and respond effectively to live crime scenes while maintaining forensic defensibility.
Advanced Digital Forensics
In many investigations, the opportunity to seize a device for full forensic examination is either unavailable, operationally undesirable, or would compromise wider investigative objectives. In these environments, the ability to conduct covert digital acquisition becomes a critical capability. This course focuses on the planning, execution, and forensic integrity of covert acquisition activity across a wide range of operational environments. Learners will develop the knowledge required to support covert bag searches, prisoner property examinations, time-limited acquisitions, and targeted digital recovery opportunities across multiple device types. This is an advanced-level course for practitioners already working in digital investigations, covert operations, or digital forensic environments.
